Professor Ganapati Dadasaheb Yadav is a globally recognized engineering scientist, renowned for his contributions to Green Chemistry, Catalysis, Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Biotechnology, and Nanotechnology. A prolific academician, researcher, and innovator, he has received numerous prestigious national and international honors.
As the Founding Vice Chancellor of the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, he played a transformative role, elevating ICT to Category I Institute status, launching 23 new programs, 5 departments, multiple Centres of Excellence, and expanding to Bhubaneswar and Marathwada.
Under his leadership, ICT was ranked among the top 100 institutes in the Developing World by Times Higher Education in 2019.
Currently, Professor Yadav is an Emeritus Professor of Eminence and J.C. Bose National Fellow at ICT and serves as Adjunct Professor at the University of Saskatchewan (Canada), RMIT University (Australia), and Conjoint Professor at the University of Newcastle (Australia).
Recognized for his outstanding contributions to Science and Engineering, he was honored with the Padma Shri (2016) and has received two honorary doctorates. He has also been awarded 125+ national and international honors, including fellowships from Indian and global scientific academies such as INSA, IAS, NASI, INAE, TWAS, and the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK).
